The Resurrection

Back from the dead. Built from scratch.

In 2011 CastleMiner Z hit Xbox Live Indie Games and introduced a generation to creative survival horror: dig, build, arm up, and hold the line against the horde as the sun goes down. It went on to become the best-selling independent title on the Xbox 360.

Now the original developers are back together, remaking the game from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5. It sits somewhere between a remake and a sequel: the same feel, the same fear of nightfall, with a full graphics overhaul, new features, and a foundation we can keep building on for years.

Teaser 2: Dragon Reveal

Features

Everything you remember. Nothing you had to put up with.

Same DNA, modern bones. Here's what's in the box.

Infinite open world

Procedurally generated terrain that goes on forever, and gets deadlier the farther you travel from spawn.

Guns, blocks & dragons

Mine, craft, and build by day. Load up and hold the line by night as zombies, skeletons, and dragons come for you.

Online co-op & PvP

Build a fortress with friends or fight over the same patch of dirt. Competitive multiplayer is back.

Free-form building

Every block is yours to place or destroy. Dig down, build up, and turn the world into whatever keeps you alive.

Familiar combat

The gunplay and enemy behaviour you know, tuned and rebuilt, not reinvented for the sake of it.

Unique game modes

Endurance, Survival, Creative, Dragon Endurance and more. The modes that made the original endlessly replayable.
